The 24-year-old maverick Arman Menzies has a mask for every occasion. His infectious energy and familiar music sensibilities has a way of putting any audience at ease. Well known in cult progressive metal circles in India for his earlier work songwriting and playing guitar for Goddess Gagged before moving on to study music production in the UK, he’s already performed in places like Croatia, Netherlands and Sri Lanka under his new electronic moniker 'Zokhuma' while cherry-picking his way through local gigs as well. As he gears up to launch his first EP and live tour in early 2017, connecting the dots seems impossible when everything is happening at once, but it doesn’t make it any less fun to try.
Kohra (Urdu - fog or mist) creates a spatial, mystical and ethereal dance music experience. Versatile, hypnotic and forward-thinking he propels forward his sound via Qilla Records, which he set up in 2009 to promote upcoming, diverse and cutting-edge dance music from India and across the world.
MadStarBase, made up of Ase and Neal, is a production and DJ duo who perpetually create and curate some of the freshest, most forward-thinking music. Their creations are rooted in hip-hop and bass music and are not confined to a single genre. The focus is on sample - heavy explorations of indigenous sounds.
From original cuts to bootlegs and remixes, their productions and DJ sets make any room shake and keep the dancefloor stacked.
MC Soopy is the alter ego and stage name of New Delhi native Siddhant Roop Rai. As an MC , MC Soopy adds an element of surprise and break neck energy to DJ sets of any genre across the country. A combination of improvised grime infused rapping, high energy hyping and an overall mic prowess, enables MC Soopy to add a fresh sense of dynamism into the new and bourgeoning wave of underground music in India. As a DJ, MC Soopy traverses the sounds of hip hop, soul, trap, house, disco, italo and techno.
