Red Bull Music Academy Presents: The New Sound Of Bollywood

Red Bull Music Academy have just announced their latest initiative 'The New Sound Of Bollywood' which aims to showcase the global music legacy of India, analysing the country's contemporary music culture and how Bollywood has influenced music across the world.

"These are times when Indian musicians have truly arrived, reaching new heights and garnering recognition at the Oscars and the Grammys for their work. What better time to celebrate Indian music than this."

On 30 March 2012 American hip-hop producer Just Blaze (CEO of Fort Knocks Records and producer for Jay-Z and Eminem), Vishal Dadlani (vocalist from Pentagram), Amit Trivedi (Indian film composer) and MTV VJ Anusha Dandekar will all come together at Mumbai's ever popular Mehboob Studios for talks, workshops and a series of performances that will explore the future sound of Indian film.

This is a global Red Bull Music Academy event, once again proving their passion to support upcoming and forward thinking musicians. RBMA is a world traveling series of music workshops and festivals, which aims to provide a platform for some of the world's most talented musicians. Applications are now open for upcoming and scene setting musicians to take part in this years edition due to take place in New York, USA.
