Listen: Thom Yorke Remix Of SBTRKT?

20 February 2012

Last year, mysterious producer SBTRKT contributed a remix of Radiohead’s Lotus Flower for the band’s TKOL RMX 1234567 remix album. Now it seems that Thom Yorke has gone and returned the favour. Just maybe.

You can hear SBTRKT's remix of Lotus Flower below:

As reported by Pitchfork, a remix of SBTRKT’s track Hold On was played on Seattle radio station KEXP 90.3 FM at the end of last week, made by the previously unheard of producer that goes by the name of ‘Sisi BakBak’. Rumour has it, ‘Sisi BakBak’ may actually be an alias for Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke. Apparently, the radio announcer stated that the remix came from an artist scheduled to hit Seattle’s Key Arena soon, a venue Radiohead will be playing in April. Alongside this, the detectives at Pitchfork also noted that BBC’s Rob Da Bank recently tweeted “listening to the Thom Yorke mix of @SBTRKT for the 18th time…unbeatable!”

No matter who's behind it, the remix is brilliant. You can hear it below or pick it up on the forthcoming Hold On single, where it will feature as the B-side. It's due out digitally on February 21 and May 8 as a limited edition 12″.

So is it Thom Yorke?
