India Surf Festival 2012

Calling all surfers, paddlers, filmmakers, photographers, publishers, artists and adventure clubs. Join Surfing Yogis and IOSUP (International Organisation Stand Up Paddle) as they present India Surf Festival 2012.
Surfing Yogis are a team of international surfers that are aiming to put India on the world surfing map. The team are currently taking regular expeditions to locations all around India to find the perfect beaches for pro and extreme surfers. They are also aiming to nurture and create a surfing tribe in India who can compete at international surfing events.
India Surf Festival will take place between 7-9 February 2012 at the Puri Konark Marine Drive, Puri, Orissa. This event will serve as a platform to unite “the powers of sun healing with the art of surfing”
The aim of the festival is to:
- Identify, involve, groom and promote Indian surfers.
- Connect the Indian Ocean to global surfers.
- Honour and award personalities in the field of surfing including filmmakers and photographers.
- Design, develop and promote organic utilities, alternative therapies and yogic mantras for surfers.
