Red Bull Bedroom Jam 2011 Kicks Off

Red Bull recently announced the launch of its 2011 edition of Red Bull Bedroom Jam. An initiative which invites bands to upload their homemade videos to be put up for vote from an worldwide audience.

Last year, breakthrough Indian bands Colossal Figures (Delhi), Inner Sanctum (Bangalore), Noiseware (Pune) and Blakc (Mumbai) joined 1500 other bands across the world in the 2010 Red Bull Bedroom Jam and came out as India's best!

Bands applied in the UK, Australia, India, Mexico and Sweden reaching out to over 14 million people. In March 2011 Red Bull added Belgium, Netherlands, UAE, South Africa and Lebanon. In the UK, winning band “You and What Army” played 5 of the top British festivals, recorded their debut album at Red Bull Studios London and were released as cover mount on Rocksound Magazine.

The Indian bands got new music videos that were watched on by thousands of fans. Then they played at festivals like NH7 Weekender, Great Indian Rock, BITS Pilani, The Tilt, Symbiosis and won some incredible merchandise from Gibson Guitars.

This year, the guys at Red Bull are giving 8 bands the chance to play at a live music club opening for a "big time headline act." Aside from this, 4 bands will get to have a music video shot by social media and production pioneers Jack In The Box as well as of course, playing at some of India's most kicking festivals.
