Call For Applications: Border Movement Residency

Call For Applications: Border Movement Residency

6 February 2018

In partnership with Goethe-Institut, Border Movement, Ableton, Wild City and Musicboard Berlin, Border Movement Residency (BMR) is a program that offers unique tailor-made residencies for South Asian and Berlin-based artists.

The last 2 years have seen successful applicants like K^L^, Dinelka and Ghazaleh E (2016) and Alien Panda Jury, Sandunes and FILM (2017) travel from South Asia to Berlin. In reverse, Berlin-based artists have travelled from Germany to Iran, Nepal, India and other South Asian Countries.

For South Asian artists, every year, 3 musicians are chosen to spend 2 months each in Berlin, where they will have the opportunity to meet and collaborate with local artists, undertake music production master classes, interact with local labels and get the opportunity to play gigs in Berlin.

Also, 2 Berlin-based artists can apply for residencies in Tehran and other South Asian cities.
