UK Rapper Lady Leshurr To Tour India

30 October 2017

As part of a new initiative by Bira 91, titled FreeFlow, versatile UK rapper Lady Leshurr is coming to India for a 3-city tour.

The sometimes-singer and producer is best known for her ‘Queen’s Speech’ freestyle series on YouTube and was one of the first UK female artists to permeate the country’s bubble. The rapper has since gained fans in Erkyah Badu, Timbaland and Busta Rhymes - who complimented her skills when she rapped like the legendary artist on her cover of ‘Look At Me Now’.

Leshurr’s wit, energy and braggadocio is sure to be complemented by her support act throughout the tour; Prabh Deep. The Delhi-based rapper recently released his debut album, ‘Class Sikh’ which quickly found itself charting on iTunes and is now also widely regarded as one of the best MCs in Indian hip-hop space.

A long-standing supporter of hip-hop, DJ MoCity will be joining the tour in New Delhi gig while DJ Uri, one of India’s foremost turntablists, will take over duties at the Mumbai leg of the tour. Aerate Sound, whose sound is very much inspired by a hip-hop palette, will support in Bengaluru.

As part of Bira’s new initiative simply titled; FreeFlow, the artists will be creating a path that is sure to be well-trodden upon in the months to come. A multi-layered platform, it aims to support international and domestic hip-hop in its many guises: music videos, album releases and of course at some of the best shows in India. Bira91 have also recently announced a FreeFlow garden at Magnetic Fields Festival which takes place from 15-17 December.
