"Red Bull Music Academy To Host 20th Edition In Berlin; Applications Now Open"

Over the last two decades - Red Bull Music Academy has visited cities across the globe ranging from Tokyo to New York, Melbourne, Cape Town, Paris, Sao Paulo, London and most recently Montréal.
Alongside it has consistently taken its core principles that underlie its annual workshop for selected participants and applied this curatorial approach to radio, events, lectures, partnerships, festivals and clubs across the world.
To celebrate its 20th anniversary - the academy in 2018 will take place in Berlin - the host city for the very first edition back in 1998.
Dates are 8 September to 12 October and applications have opened today - closing on September 4. To be able to apply you must submit 30 minutes of original music through their online portal or via mail. More info here.
To coincide with this announcement, RBMA have also released Various Assets, a compilation featuring participants from the 2016 Academy in Montréal. It features music from artists such as Just Blaze, Dorian Concept, Stephen Bruner (aka Thundercat) and Matías Aguayo alongside Indian acts Oceantied and The Sine Painter.
