Rap & Funk Mix On Dhanji's 'Thaltej Blues'

Ahmedabad performer Dhanji recently released the single 'Thaltej Blues' from his upcoming debut album 'Ruab', taking a cue from 80s funk with the help of producer Circle Tone and vocalist Neil Ck to offer a fresh sound from within the space of desi hip-hop.

The track and its music video homage the bustle of Ahmedabad (or as he colloquially calls it, Amdavad). The saxophone runs almost encroach upon the space of Dhanji's verses as his lyricism pushes them aside until it all comes together on the melodic refrain delivered over Neil Ck's catchy melody.
