Music Basti Launches Crowdfunding Campaign For ReSound 2016

Music Basti is an initiative founded by Faith Gonzalves that takes at risk children, youth and artists in Delhi on an intensive creative, musical journey with the aim to instill confidence and rouse a sense of community and learning.

The initiative has been changing the lives of children in Delhi since it began in 2008. The ReSound program was launched by Music Basti more recently in 2013 as “a move towards the realisation of Music Basti's founding belief in a community-led approach to music education for social upliftment in India.”

Music Basti is just a month away from its third annual ReSound:सपनोकाजहाज़/ The Ship of Dreams concert, which will feature performances by 300 young students of the program. The Music Basti team has opened a campaign here on Bitgiving to fund the concert, with a detailed breakup of what the money will be used for.

We very strongly suggest you spread the word and contribute to the cause, even if what you can offer doesn’t seem like much. The people at Music Basti have worked hard to make the city a better place for at-risk children and youth, and any contribution that will make the ReSound 2016 concert special will be hugely valued.

Music Basti aims to raise Rs 5,00,000 lakh (7500 USD) in the next 20 days. 100% of the money raised is towards the program costs.
