Anish Sood Debuts As Anyasa On Anjunadeep With New Single 'Rasiya'

Popular Indian electronic act Anish Sood just released a new single 'Rasiya' on the prominent Above & Beyond-founded label Anjunadeep, debuting his new moniker Anyasa and becoming the first Indian artist to be signed to the label which itself was named after the famous beach of Goa.
'Rasiya' drops as the first single off Sood's 4-track EP 'Gaya' which sees the DJ and producer take the help of vocalists like Isheeta Chakrvarty, Bawari Basanti, Avneet Khurmi and Amira Gill to bring an element of Indian classical singing to his steadfast and well-honed production style. Given the use of traditional vocals to distinguish electronic beats easily becomes passé, it is easy to brush off 'Rasiya' at first as it kicks off with Isheeta's sustained melodies. However, once Sood's fresh finesse at minimal techno beats and 303s transforms the track into an immersive experience, the return of the emotive vocals a third way through puts it in a mystical and psychedelic context.
