8 July 2020

Multi-disciplinary immersive experience design consultancy and production company Transhuman Collective has announced a 2-day real-time live 3D virtual fundraising festival called ‘UNRATED’, which will take place on July 18 and 19.

As part of the immersive festival, Ash Roy, Calm Chor, Vinayak^a, OX7GEN, Zokhuma, NATE08, Helium Project and DJ Nelson will perform live as their 3D avatars on a virtual space station, on Transhuman’s live 3D virtual events platform TransSpace. Alongside the musical performances, ‘UNRATED’ will also feature multiple immersive technologies like real-time 3D, sound reactive virtual lights, augmented reality, holographics and projection mapping, explored by live visual artists including Cursorama, Vj Decoy, Samvida+Viktor, Naveen Deshpande and public art artists like Daku, Arthat and Yantr.

According to TransSpace co-founder Sidhraj Shah: “We aim to augment the audience’s experience of watching a live event virtually with a strong narrative to support. The goal here is to create a gripping narrative which the audience connects to and create a canvas for the artists to explore the new virtual medium.”

With ‘UNRATED’, Transhuman aims to raise INR 10 lakhs which it will use to provide PPE kits to “COVID-19 warriors” i.e. the frontline workers like doctors, nurses, policemen, sanitation workers, delivery personnel, bank employees and government employees sustaining essential services even during the pandemic. The festival will take place at 6:30PM on July 18 and 19 on Youtube, Vimeo and Twitch. Watch its trailer below and follow Transhuman Collective on Facebook for updates.
