New Festival 'The Lost Party' Pushes Out Further Details

16 February 2015

New week, new festival – and this one has us with its concept – a fresh approach to carving an experience for Indian audiences taking place during the Holi Weekend (6-8 March) in Lavasa, Pune.

The Lost Party is a camping festival that aims to “bring out the ‘gypsy at heart’ in you.” The concept plays on the notion that we are all “wanderers, explorers, dreamers and creators. We are all visitors to this time, this place. We are just passing through. Our purpose here is to observe, to learn, to grow, to love… and then we return home.”

Taking place over three stages, the music so far confirmed is pretty diverse with a lot of names you’ll recognise and a few that you won’t. What we’re more excited about are the periphery activities promised such as the bottomless cookouts, swimming pools in the camps, comic bars and games. There’s a whole lot of fun promised and with festival tickets at a very reasonable Rs 2999 for a full three day pass it’s definitely worth checking out.

So far artists confirmed include: The Turbans, Trilok Gurtu with Ravichari Crossing, Yolanda Be Cool, Chris Coco, Fabrizio Maurizi, Dung, Rico Loop, Pig & Dan, Nucleya, Mosillator, Reggae Rajahs, b.r.e.e.d, Sa x Sa, Vasuda Sharma – Attuned Spirit, Ankur Tiwari and the Ghalat family, Nikhil Dsouza with band, Avial, The Bartenders, Prem Joshua, Dualist Inquiry, Hamza Rajasthan + Folkstars + Bista, Blot!
