Gig Preview: Neel and The Lightbulbs Album Launch

16 January 2015

Kolkata based indie rockers Neel and The Lightbulbs are launching their highly anticipated new album ‘Rewind’ tonight at Princeton Club as part of’s weekly property, Jamsteady.

Neel and The Lightbulbs is composed of four familiar faces from the music scene – singer/guitarist and main composer Neel Adhikari, backing vocalist and guitarist Subhodip Banerjee, bassist Roheet Mukherjee (also a member of the very popular Ganesh Talkies) and drummer Avinash Chordia, who also plays with veteran Kolkata band, The Supersonics. Tonight will see the foursome release ‘Rewind’, and based on what we’ve heard from the band in the past, we highly recommend you drop by.

You can expect some singer/songwriter based, accessible and easily enjoyed indie rock at the venue. The new album is produced by the legendary Miti Adhikari and features a bunch of guest vocalists including Suyasha Sen of the Ganesh Talkies. Jamsteady has been responsible for promoting some of the best live music and occasionally art, dance and phography in the city since its inception in 2012. You can follow the property on Facebook for regular updates and check out’s website for more.
