Kampire Announces 2-City India Tour

Ugandan DJ and promoter Kampire has just announced shows in Mumbai and New Delhi on March 20 and 21.
Asserting herself as an integral member of Nyege Nyege, the collective, label and festival that has defined the music scene in Uganda, Kampire emerged as a cultural activist, creating safe parties for women and the LGBTQIA+ community in Kampala before she even took to the decks. Functioning as a DJ, Kampire has checklisted through nearly all of electronic music’s biggest platforms: Boiler Room, Mixmag, Dekmantel, rinse.fm, FACT, Resident Advisor – all within the span of 4 years.
Her notable success has been propelled by the East African perspective she brings to the confluence of afrobeat and house, offering a fresh and unique take on the genres compared to her western counterparts – as observable from her Boiler Room set below.
The energetic selector performs alongside DJ Uri at Mumbai’s Khar Social on March 20, and at New Delhi’s Raasta on March 21 with support from Stain and Sodhi.
