RESET: Details Announced For 4 City Tour

30 October 2014

UnMute Agency and Phoenix Live, are set to bring back RESET, one of India’s leading electronic dance music showcases. The first edition of RESET took place in March earlier this year in Hyderabad. After meticulous planning, the showcase is back with a multi-city, travelling format. The latest edition of RESET will begin in Hyderabad on 1 November. Dates have also been confirmed for Bangalore (15 November), Pune (6 December) and Chennai (13 December), so remember to mark your calendars.

RESET is unique in its goal to curate only bonafide home grown Indian electronic talent. Billed as a continuous series of events in unconventional venues, RESET seeks to introduce music fans to the sounds of some of India’s best techno DJs and producers alongside up and coming artists.

With India attracting more and more international artists and headliners there is a worry that the country’s local talent may fall by the wayside in an effort to promote the industry’s big names. Explaining the rationale behind RESET’s advocacy for Indian musicians, artist manager and director at UnMute Dev Bhatia said, “We got together with our artists to take a few steps back and many forward. We wanted to showcase the quality of dance music artists in India with large scale events and quality sound, instead of following the tired-old format of bringing a headliner DJ.”

The Hyderabad showcase starts at 4pm and plays right through till the wee hours of the morning. Twelve hours of high grade techno, with immaculate production and sound quality. The real star of the show will be the internationally acclaimed sound system and global industry standard, Funktion One, which will be used at all RESET shows.

Full details for the Hyderabad edition (supported by adidas Originals and Musifix) can be found here. Lineup and venue details for other cities will be announced soon. A limited number of early bird tickets are available for these editions of RESET at Rs750 and regular tickets are available for Rs1000. You can buy them here. Tickets at the door will cost Rs1250. Early bird tickets for Hyderabad have sold out.
