Border Movement Lounge Returns To New Delhi & Kolkata Next Week

21 October 2014

After an electrifying first round, the Border Movement Lounge is back in India with its second edition set to take place in Delhi and Kolkata on 29 and 30 October respectively.

This time, the Goethe Institut supported platform has picked Bangladesh as its focus country and both events will feature performances by talented Dhaka based producer – Space/Ghost along with local support.

Space/Ghost is an electronic producer whose sound is heavily influenced by the robotic, synthetic grooves of French chill out. Mix in a dash of classical 70’s/80’s Bangla and what you have a truly unique yet accessible sound that’s as eually enjoyable on the dance floor as it is with headphones.

The Delhi chapter will take place at Hauz Khas Social and will feature local support from talented electronic producer Ankur Chauhan a.k.a. When Pandas Attack, as well as Rohan Hastak’s Big City Harmonics project. We’re particularly excited to see BCH since this will be the first time the Pune based producer will be playing in the capital.

Kolkata will feature support by local electronic DJ and artist Deep Brown as well as Mumbai based producer Arfaaz Kagalwala, musical alias Fuzzy Logic who recently released his immersive new EP ‘Guerilla Monsoon’. Excitingly, the event will take place Hoogly Jute Mills.

The aim of the BM lounge is to connect and encourage interaction between musical talents in South Asia with those in Germany. The Sri Lanka focused flagship Lounge features performances by talented DJ and visual artist, Sunara, as well as strong local support in both Delhi and Kolkata resulting in a successful launch that kept audiences on their toes through the night.

Keep your dates blocked for this one if you’re in Delhi or Kolkata. Follow Border Movement on Facebook and Twitter for updates and listen to Space/Ghost’s single ‘Kimosabe’ below:
