Back In Action: Elma’s/The Living Room

28 January 2014

The absence of one of Delhi’s nightlife and live music pillars was felt with a pang by the many that relied on it as a haven amidst the now chaotic dirge of Hauz Khas Village. It had quietly slipped away, but now, it's back - with a slightly new structure.

It’s sister company Elma’s Bakery, previously located just around the corner, has taken over the top floor to create a combined space with two avatars. You can sip tea and eat rainbow cake upstairs or sink your chops into a burger and beer downstairs. The marriage of the two is pretty seamless and the new integrated space still feels like you could be in someone’s house.

The programming is also taking a nod to yester years, you can expect a few familiar names but mostly new ones. TLR is going back to its routes as a live music venue with a curious shake up in the programming department. From singer songwriters to electronica producers, vocalists, funk and soul bands, even a good old fashion 20s style costume party.
