Toto Music Awards: Call For Submissions

30 August 2012

Toto Funds The Arts (TFA) is a non-profit organisation set up in 2004 in memory of Angirus 'Toto' Vellani, a man intensely passionate about music, literature and film who tragically lost his life in an accident in Goa at the age of 20. It nurtures and encourages young artists through awards, workshops and events in the field of creative writing, photography, art and music to promote artistic creativity among India's urban youth.

TFA are now inviting bands/musicians to enter the 9th annual Toto Music Awards. Strictly looking for entries in contemporary music from all parts of India, the list of genres in which you can apply extends from rock and jazz to heavy metal, electronic and folk. The award is open to music in any language but submissions should be 100% original.

As the award is set out to identify and encourage young talent it recommends that you don't apply if you are already well established or have already received a commercial contract. Entries should reach TFA by 30 September 2012 and the winner will receive a cash award of Rs 50,000.
