Kini Rao Walks Across Sub-Genres Of Dance Music On New Single 'Barrytone'

A long-standing fixture of India's dancefloors, Hyderabad's DJ-producer Kini Rao has just dropped a new single, ' Barrytone'.

While Kini's productions remain a rare offering (the last one dropping in 2020 as part of KRUNK Kulture's compilation 'Kaala Khatta'), the new track arrives with a blend of genres combining the psychedelic fluidity of acid basslines with hypnotic dub echoes of the sampled voice of Barry White. Though the track remains restrained from venturing into bold grounds in any of the genres it takes its inspiration from, it nevertheless carries an undeniable energy potently ready to be utilised by the right DJ on the dancefloor.
