Dappest & adL Move Into New directions With New Single 'follow'

Adiel Massar aka adL and Dappest have just followed up their standout debut album from last year, 'At Your Service', with a new single titled 'follow'.

Moving into a new direction, the Shillong producer-performers build upon their established style of R&B and neo-soul. While the formative genres bear their influences on the velvety performances and vocal melodies, lo-fi drums and basslines lead the track with the help of warm chords before zany synth effects, string hooks and shimmering guitars bring the fresh input of 80s-reminiscent indie-rock to the mix.

Even as the track just as well works as a romantic ditty, according to adL, 'follow' "delves into the challenges that arise when pursuing one's passion, whether it's a person or an interest. The song highlights how every endeavour presents its unique hurdles."
