Seasonal Affected Beats Announces Debut Album with Single ‘Chance and Electricity’

New Delhi-based drummer, composer, percussionist and music educator, Tarun Balani, as his moniker, Seasonal Affected Beats, recently released a new single ‘Chance and Electricity’ from his upcoming 8-track debut album ‘Where the Ice Meets the Water’. The album releases on 1st December 2023.
The single sounds like Seasonal Affected Beats is exploring a new sonic direction in their music, incorporating more progressive elements and moving from a minimalistic and ambient style of composition. This shift suggests an exploration of new textures and atmospheres in their music, as Balani continues to explore what he dubs as ‘improvised electronic music’. The progressive elements in the song involve complex arrangements and evolving musical structures, a departure which could result in a unique and engaging listening experience.
Alongside his work as Seasonal Affected Beats, Balani is also releasing ‘Samadhi’ with his jazz project, the Dharma Collective, on 15th September 2023.
