Free.wav: Nithin Shams & flux vortex's Electronic Music Residency Returns With Nicolas Jaar, Rana Ghose & More

In 2021, Dee En-member Aditya Kapoor aka flux vortex and Nithin Shamsudhin, along with Parimal Shais, hosted an electronic music residency entitled 'Free.wav' at Bhoomi Farms, a fruit farm and community space in Kerala’s Attappady Hills. The residency returns in 2022 to the family-run fruit forest in the wilderness of Western Ghats between March 14–20.
Inviting electronic music enthusiasts with an ear for creation from varying levels of experience including no prior production knowledge, the residency will count prominent electronic music producer Nicolas Jaar, sound researcher and artist Bint Mbareh, producer-engineer and bass player (who also tours with Skyharbor) Krishna Jhaveri, REProduce Artists-founder Rana Ghose, and Kapoor and Shamsudhin themselves, among the instructors. Aside from inviting the participants to tune in with the holistic living at the farms, the residency will provide lessons and masterclasses in topics ranging from working with Ableton Live, demystifying mixing and live synthesizer jam to field recording, deep listening and live streaming.
While participation will require a fee of INR 25,000, Free.wav will also provide full and partial scholarships to encourage the participation of people from all walks of life. The deadline to apply is February 23, 2023.
