Su-Real Releases Debut 'The Grind' EP. Launches EP In New Delhi

6 November 2013

New Delhi hero Su-Real this morning released his debut EP. Titled 'The Grind', it's been made available for free download directly via his Facebook page here.

Some of you may have already heard the "Grind" word thrown around a fair bit recently. Also the name of Su Real’s DJ collective that has been setting fire to dancefloors across India - it's one of New Delhi's notorious late night jams where key members Flash Hardcor, Moniker, White Rabbit and T-Bone Stakez go back-back in an all night format. And we do mean all night!

Taking in his many inspirations from across the musical spectrum - particularly from the hip-hop realm - 'The Grind' EP touches upon ghetto-tech, trap, Baltimore, bass, hip-hop and moombahton in a tidy package that alternates between segments of dark, bouncy and dubby grooves.

It's a coherent statement from one of New Delhi's ever-consistent DJ's and promoters. One that demonstrates how established notions of today's genres are continually melting away within the current electronic landscape. For some there may be a few challenging moments, but the sounds - and more importantly, the ways in which those sounds have been compiled - are so weighty that both experimental diehards and dancefloor fanatics will find something to latch on to.

Su-Real will be touring heavily both solo and with his GRIND collective over the next couple of months. New Delhi head's will tonight be able to see Su-Real officially launch the EP with long-time collaborator Flash Hardcor - in the first of a series of bi-weekly GRIND events which will see all members of the collective team up to showcase all sounds in the 'evolution of hip-hop'.
