International Jazz Weekend: Bombay Jazz Club 2-4 May

The jazz flag is flying strong in India as this weekend marks the launch of the International Jazz Weekend at the Bandra Base - Bombay Jazz Club.

Earlier this year The Delhi International Jazz Festival was a roaring success – Nehru Park was jam packed and the greens behind the festival saturated with pockets of people soaking in the end of spring to the rich soundtrack provided by the festival.

This month, Whistling Woods have given jazz a home at the Bandra Base - Bombay Jazz Club. Spread over 3 days and kickstarting tonight at 9.30pm, entry is a very reasonable Rs 200 per evening. The full line up can be seen below:

Friday 2 May
Bombay Jazz Club House Band with Aki Spadaro - Piano, Hideaki Tokunaga - Guitar - Mike Mitchell - Drums. D.Wood - Bass... and special guests .

Saturday 3 May
Bombay Jazz Club All Star Jam Session featuring Louiz Banks and a great line up of the city's finest musicians - including The True School of Music Faculty.

Sunday 4 May 4
Bombay Jazz Club House Band with Pawan Benjamin - Sax, Hideaki Tokunaga - Guitar - Mike Mitchell - Drums. D.Wood - Bass... and special guests
