Dubfire To Tour India In April

14 December 2012

It was back in 2005 when Ali ‘Dubfire’ Shirazinia decided to go solo.

Alongside Sharam Tayebi he had already had momentous success under the name Deep Dish, a collaboration which had lasted almost 15 years. By the end their career Deep Dish had released some dance music classics whilst working with a vast array of names in the worlds of pop, rock and electronica. They even won a Grammy (amongst other high-profile awards) and in their heyday were unstoppable.

Hungry for something more, Dubfire went solo going on to his launch his SCI+TEC Digital Audio imprint as an outlet to release his own productions, much of which were inspired by his varied influences - a mixture of punk, new wave, industrial, dub, hip-hop, house and of course techno.

While continually experimenting and evolving he also went on to put out music on labels such as Cocoon, Get Physical and Rekids as well as Richie Hawtin’s highly respected Minus (he's also touring India next year), which released both his single ‘Emissions’, and an official re-work of Plastikman’s 1993 classic ‘Spastik’.

Throughout all of this, Dubfire’s SCI+TEC Digital Audio record label has continued to grow, establishing itself as a home for emerging techno talent, putting Dubfire at the head of an "electronic music scene at forefront of cutting-edge of technology."

And now he's on his way to India. Confirmed to perform as part of sLick's 2 year anniversary he'll be performing in Delhi, Bangalore and Mumbai on 12, 13 and 14 April 2013. That's all we know for now.

We've told you now - don't miss it.
