BoxoutWednesdays #012 w/ eng. & moniker

31 May 2017
New Delhi
Summer House Cafe

Designed to showcase sounds and styles that champion underground culture, the weekly gigs help build and serve a community that remains neglected by the mainstream.

Head honcho of Indian magazine and culture hub 'The Wild City' Moniker has a peculiar and varied taste in music.

Straddling hip-hop, garage, grime, bass, house, techno, and anything in between, Moniker always brings an informative set, favouring upfront and left of centre music over yesterday's tired hits.

Having been a part of the underground electronic movement in London for a number of years he brings to the table a fresh and undeniably UK sound to his live shows.

Having curated and supported tours/shows with the likes of Skream & Benga, Modeselector, V.I.V.E.K, Simian Mobile Disco, Phon.o, Doc Daneeka, Nosaj Thing, Kuedo, Sick Girls, Rudi Zygadlo, Gebruder Teichmann, Mother Perera, and a whole load more, Moniker has become a pillar of the experimental/house/techno/bass music scene in India, representing artists from not only India but across the region through the 'Border Movement' project.
Border Movement

Eng. is a member of the Bombay based collective Wetheppl. He's responsible for starting Grime Riot Disco, City Sessions and is a co-founder of Magnetic Fields Festival. Spinning everything from disco to South African Deep House, Eng can work a crowd right- doesn't gig often mostly the after party and he's only starting to play a lot more.

Recently Eng. played alongside Deadbeat and Sebastien Mullaert (Minilogue) on the Bhavishyavani Boat Cruise at EDEN Festival.
