Bast is the moniker embodied by New Delhi based artist and music enthusiast Akriti Niti Guha. Music has been an integral part of Guha’s life and they intend to bring their genre fluid persona to inspire the dance floor. Their favorite genres include downtempo, chill, psydub, disco, psytrance and dark prog. Their main sound revolves around a more fluid, psychedelic and progressive experience.
As a touring DJ, radio host and music critic, 30-year-old Abhi Meer from the island city of Mumbai has his hands pretty full. Employing a methodical, research-like approach to the dance floor as a selector, Abhi in the last few years has had the privilege of deejaying at club gigs, festivals and residencies at home and around the world. In recent months, he’s represented Resident Advisor at the Magnetic Fields Festival alongside Call Super, and played New Delhi’s first Boiler Room. He’s also a regular contributor at boxout.fm where he routinely presents shows exploring the underbelly of global electronic music.
Drum Attic a.k.a Siddharth Mehra is one half of the Techno duo better known as Motion Noir. He first started performing around two years ago, and has played at various nightclubs ever since.
An electronic instrument builder by night, Nishant Gill is Boxout.fmʼs Radio Manager, and also the in-house peddler of subversive electronics and other, assorted weirdness. Apart from performing live music under several monikers, Nishant has also been playing genre less dancefloor friendly tunes, ranging be funk, hip-hop, beats, dark industrial and gritty bass sounds, techno, electro or bordering obscurest idm territories. Expect a whole lot of everything with a funky twist.
