23 June 2019
P2, New Delhi
NTS-regular Silvia Kastel has been a fixture of the Italian underground since her precocious teens. She's also clocked up miles in Control Unit with Ninni Morgia. Both solo and in her work with others, Kastel has explored the outer limits and inner workings of no wave, industrial, dub, extreme electronics, free rock and improvisation.
Emma 'Solid Blake' Blake is a DJ and Producer who hails from Glasgow and now plays a prominent role in the bustling electronic music scene emerging from Copenhagen. Having cut her teeth working as a producer at Glasgow's highly influential student radio station Subcity Radio, since her move Blake has quietly built a glowing reputation among the underground techno community in Copenhagen as part of renowned DJ collective Apeiron Crew.
The 24-year-old maverick Arman Menzies has a mask for every occasion. His infectious energy and familiar music sensibilities has a way of putting any audience at ease. Well known in cult progressive metal circles in India for his earlier work songwriting and playing guitar for Goddess Gagged before moving on to study music production in the UK, he’s already performed in places like Croatia, Netherlands and Sri Lanka under his new electronic moniker 'Zokhuma' while cherry-picking his way through local gigs as well. As he gears up to launch his first EP and live tour in early 2017, connecting the dots seems impossible when everything is happening at once, but it doesn’t make it any less fun to try.
Experimental sound artist based out of jhumri talaeya or New Delhi we'll never know. Not much is known about the intentionally undercover Babloo Babylon, whose appearances are few and far between. His innovative productions re-contextualise samples from Indian film-music.
