The India Tube Re-Launches

31 July 2012

The India Tube has been on our radar for a while now. A fresh online magazine/directory, it gives people exploring and traveling in Indian cities a unique perspective and alternative to the grotty Pahar Ganj dives and Colaba market experiences that tourist guides steer people towards.

The platform has just undergone a makeover and is now edited by one of our favourite foodies and writers Vandana Verma. It is also part of the Guardian Travel Network (a selection of travel blogs selected by the Guardian).

The blog brings to the forefront an intimate and alternative guide to cities in India, combining great navigation with up-to-date leads on exciting and offbeat encounters; from alternative shopping and nuggets of local information to great new cafés and bars that span the country...

A tiny cinema that serves wine and Philly cheesesteak in New Delhi, a restored rice mill in Mumbai that houses cutting-edge design and a boutique hotel in the Mussoorie hills with the best sticky toffee pudding this side of England – just some of the The India Tube’s recommendations.
