Fete De La Musique At Hauz Khas Village

Alliance Francaise de Delhi, in collaboration with Hauz Khas Trader’s Association have put together an evening of events to celebrate Fete de la Musique, a day dedicated to the promotion of music that was created by the French Ministry of culture back in 1982 in Paris. This event has grown to become an international highlight in the music calendar celebrating amateur and professional practise as well as musical diversity.
A range of musical events will be taking place in a variety of venues in Hauz Khas Village tonight (20 June 2012) starting at 7pm. Programme below:
7pm Elma’s bakery: An Homage to Serge Gainsbourg (Preview)
7pm - 7.45pm The Rose: Apero! Slam. Podium and mike open to people willing to perform a slam in French, English or Hindi.
8.30pm - 9.30pm Outdoors – Dead end before historical monument: Outdoor concert.
9.30pm - 12am Various outdoor locations: Free concerts featuring local musicians.
9.30pm Out Of The Box: World music concert. Antoine (France) and Chalo Africa (DRCongo).
9.30pm TLR (The Living Room): Italian Jazz. Paolo Fatori and the Ghost Crabs.
