Flaming Lips Sell Blood Vinyl

The Flaming Lips recently pressed a limited run of their collaborative Record Store Day album ‘Heady Fwends’ to vinyl that included samples of the artist's actual blood inside.

Flaming Lips frontman Wayne Coyne announced via Twitter that 10 copies of the blood vinyl will be available with a hefty price tag of $2500 each. He also revealed that the blood in the vinyl includes samples from 'Heady Fwends' contributors Nick Cave, Erykah Badu, Ke$ha and Coldplay's Chris Martin.

The limited edition discs are set to go on sale at the end of the week despite Coyne's last tweet: "Still working out the legal details of selling human blood..."
