Stone Throw Records Test The Future Of Music & The Internet

31 January 2012

Stones Throw, the label home to acts such as Aloe Blacc, Peanut Butter Wolf, Madlib and Dâm-Funk recently announced the launch of a monthly subscription service. In a huge move for the relationship between sales of music and the internet, the label (in partnership with Drip.fm) will deliver each of its new releases to subscribers' inboxes for just $10 a month. All obviously legitimately and with artists consent.

As an added bonus upon signing up, members will receive Homeboy Sandman's Subject: Matter EP, The Minimal Wave Tapes Vol. 2, and M.E.D.'s Classic Instrumentals.

"Aside from our long-running free podcast series, this is the first subscription service we've ever been able to offer," Stones Throw announced. "We've spent a few months in planning with Drip.fm, developed by our friends at Ghostly International. We think their service is a great one, and we're proud to work together." - Stones Throw Records
