Live From The Console Reveal Documentary

4 October 2011

Live From The Console is a monthly event offering bands and acts an alternative platform to showcase their music and introduce new fans.

"There is an active scene for music in the pub/resto-bar space. But music as a community activity and generation of new audiences for local talent remains a bit of challenge. Live from The Console is the answer to that challenge."

To coincide with Playing For Change Day on September 17, Live From The Console took to the recording studio at Mumbai's Mehboob studio to celebrate in style bringing together a variety of musicians.

Performing on the night were singer/songwriter K. C. Loy, indie rock band Airport, Bombay's original hip-hop and funk band Bombay Bassment and BBC (Bay Beat Collective), an electronic collective who were road testing a live show, incorportaing a saxaphonist and vocalist to go alongside their usual mix of drum and bass, breaks, dubstep and glitch.

Over the course of the evening the event was shot and documented by Elvis D'Silva.

The mini documentary which includes interviews and clips of all the acts performing on the night can be seen below:
