Bandish Projekts Latest Video in Cherokee America Presents Vh1 India Top 10
The Bandish Projekt's recent release, Brown Skin Beauty featuring Last Mango in Paris has been playing on VH1 since mid July and has just reached the top ten of Cherokee America Presents VH1. They are up there with artists including Lady Gaga, Rihanna and Eminem.

The Bandish Projekt is the work of Mayur Narvekar, a trained Indian Classical musician, a reputed jazz funk drummer and a tabla player with a passion for world percussion. He describes his music as chaotic as it is calm, infused with the right amount of classical and maddened by the right content of frenzy. An experiment in sound. An evolution in music. A phenomenon that will force you to sit up and take notice.
He recently collaborated with Monica Dogra from Shaa'ir + Func on an exciting project at the BBC Friction labs with Bobby Friction. They recorded a live remix of three tracks in under two hours which resulted in '50 Ways to Leave And Come Back'. This can be streamed and downloaded for free.
