Selectors: A Series Of Regular Vinyl Listening Sessions

17 April 2017

This Saturday (22 April 2017) marks the launch of ‘Selectors’.

With the aim of cultivating and supporting vinyl culture in India, ‘Selectors’ will be a regular series of listening sessions that will launch at the Wild City office in New Delhi.

Our motivation for this is to create a regular space that celebrates and grows a vinyl culture in Delhi (and India) by offering an insight into the record collections of artists and individuals from around the world. Not only from DJ’s.

The event will launch on the 10th anniversary of Record Store Day. An internationally recognised event that spans dozens of countries and countless cities. Record Store Day was conceived in 2007 as a way to celebrate and spread the word about this distinctive culture. It first took place on 19 April 2008.

In partnership with boxout.fm, we will be live-streaming the entire event and four of their resident DJs - DJ MoCity, MadStarBase, thegreybox and Drum Attic - will be spinning records. Dev Bhatia (Unmute), Sanil aka FILM, Tarana Marwah (Komorebi), Rikki Kher (Kardo), Sarah and Munbir Chawla (Wild City), Abhineet Singh (The Brewhouse) and more will also be playing us some record collections.

Local cold brew specialists Sleepy Owl will be making cold brew G&T's through the day whilst we’ll also get some beers in courtesy of Bira.

We'll stream the event online and record everything to be archived at a later date, however this is open to all. So please drop by and have a drink on us.

More details to follow.
