Watch: Su Real Releases New Music Video For ‘Twerkistan’

1 September 2016

Delhi bass producer Su Real has just released a new video for the title track of his upcoming album ‘Twerkistan’, featuring Tanya Nambiar and Su himself on vocals. The video has been directed by Satyarth Shaurya Singh (Lights on Films) and supposedly tells the story of Sultan of Twerkistan on a quest to reclaim his throne.

The album, which will be out in the next couple of weeks will be followed by an extensive launch tour in October through to November. But before that, Su Real will also be performing for thousands at the NSCI on September 2 as Nucleya’s opening act.

The overall idea and theme of the album isn’t hard to gauge if you’ve had a look at Kunal Lodhia’s first-rate album art and the video for ‘Twerkistan’ below, which features the Nambiar and Su frolicking with backup dancers amongst the dunes in Jodhpur.

“Definitely from the get-go, I wanted an anthemic title track for Twerkistan, and an epic video to accompany it. The song evoked imagery of desert, dunes and dust in my mind as the lyrics tell the story of the Sultan of Twerkistan, exiled from his sovereignty, on an epic quest to reclaim his throne,” says Su Real.

You can watch the video for ‘Twerkistan’ below in its entirety and follow Su Real on Facebook for updates.
