Magnetic Fields 2016 Releases Tickets & Recap Video

8 August 2016

Listed as one of the ‘50 Best Music Festivals In The World’ by Time Out Magazine earlier this year, Magnetic Fields Festival has released tickets for its 2016 edition set to take place later this year from 9-11 December in 17th century palace-turned-hotel Alsisar Mahal in Rajasthan.

Last year’s edition was the biggest yet, and Magnetic Fields, which has grown 200% since it launched in 2013, promises once more to be an immersive experience with a carefully curated lineup of international and local live acts and electronic producers, pop-parties that go on till dawn and interactive installations, all set against the backdrop of an ancient Rajput palace. We can safely say that there’s nothing like it anywhere else in the country. Watch the recap video below, shot by ArtFoto Studios and edited by cinematographer Vikram Singh, to see for yourself.

If you’re staying within the festival grounds (in the palace rooms, luxury tents or classic tents), passes this year are priced at Rs 6500, but Magnetic Fields is selling a limited number of super early bird passes priced at Rs 5500. After they sell out, the festival will also be selling early bird passes at Rs 6000. Tickets are priced at Rs 8500 for those who would like to choose their own accommodation outside the festival grounds.

As usual, you can pick between palace rooms or live in luxury or classic tents in the Bedouin campsite, which – and those who were there last year can attest to it – becomes a mini festival and community on its own. You can have a look at accommodation prices here on the website. The campsite will also feature its own Desert Oasis Disco stage, bars and art installations.

Head over to the Magnetic Fields website for more information and tickets, and follow the festival on Facebook and Twitter for updates on the lineup and more. Watch the recap video for the 2015 edition below.
