Listen: Fuzzy Logic Releases New ‘Foe On The Floor’ EP

12 July 2016

Mumbai born musician, producer and REProduce signee Fuzzy Logic a.k.a. Arfaaz Kagalwala has just released his third EP, titled ‘Foe On The Floor’, available to stream exclusively on Saavn. He’s also currently in the process of crowdfunding a stop-motion animated video for the third track on the EP – ‘Pretty Child’ with Joey Ellis, who also created the album art.

Kagalwala says that the three track EP “reflects moods of disconnection, re-evaluation and transformation in the modern world.”

The EP’s self-titled opener kicks things off strong with laid back melodies and vocals that build into a more dance friendly tune with movable beats and a catchy vocal hook. Pop-leaning ‘Drifter’ follows with its metallic keys, hazy production and nautical beats while ‘Pretty Child’ ends on with buoyant tone and rich layers of sound.

Both production and melody were on point but unfortunately Kagalwala was audibly restrained in his vocal delivery. He sounded almost too inhibited to fully let go and give to his music the abandonment and emotion it needed to sound complete. Maybe he just isn’t used to using his voice as much as he has in his latest EP, or maybe we just expected more from an otherwise very talented artist. In any case, we’re keen to see how it translates to a live show.

You can listen to the EP here on Saavn and follow Fuzzy Logic on Facebook for updates.
