Wild City Returns To The UK With A Showcase At Southbank Centre & Great Escape Festival

11 April 2016

We’re very proud to announce that after a successful debut showcase at South Asian multidisciplinary arts festival Alchemy last year, Wild City will return to the Southbank Centre on 29 May with another showcase that reflects India’s burgeoning alternative music space. The musicians will also be performing at The Great Escape Festival in Brighton on 19 May.

The showcase titled ‘Wild City presents a showcaase of live & electronic music from India’ will feature the music of Delhi based jazz/ cabaret band Peter Cat Recording Co., India’s foremost AV duo blot!, and two of the most original solo producers in the game today _RHL and Lifafa.

Alchemy is Southbank Centre’s South Asia focussed multidisciplinary festival of arts, which presents exciting new collaborations and work from both upcoming and established creative minds in dance, music, theatre, design, comedy and literature annually. Last year was Wild City’s first showcase at the festival with music by three of the most promising talents in India’s contemporary music – Nicholson, Sulk Station and Curtain Blue.

Before their show at London, all four acts will also be making a stop at The Great Escape in Brighton on May 19, which is one of Europe’s leading festivals and conventions for new music from around the world.
