Listen: ‘With Love’ By The Circus

7 March 2016

New Delhi alternative rock outfit The Circus recently released their third full-length album ‘With Love’ on 2 March. The 7 track album is available to stream online exclusively at GQ India.

The Circus is made up of Arsh Sharma on guitars and vocals, Abhinav Chaudhary on bass, Abhishek Bhatia on vocals and Anshul Lall on drums. They’re currently travelling the country to launch the new album as part of The 2Stroke tour. After performing in Delhi, Bangalore, Mumbai and Pune, the band is preparing for shows in Gurgaon, Shillong and Guwahati on 10, 11 and 12 March respectively. Gig details below.

Heartbreak (partially from Ned Stark’s death in the very first season of GoT), failed relationships and a general sense of angst fuel the lyrics in the album. In their interview with GQ, Bhatia claims that ‘With Love’ is all about “miscommunication/rants/Daddy issues/sometimes misogynistic and misandrist at the same time.”

They’ve also made a conscious effort to shift away from the sound of their first two albums. The change is immediately noticeable but not drastic enough to scare away their loyal fan base. ‘With Love’ includes elements of abrasive industrial rock, ambient, with touches of melodic, moody electronica.

Follow The Circus on Facebook for updates and listen to the entire album here on GQ. Watch their lyric video for ‘Not Yet Dinosaurs' below.
