Red Bull Music Academy To Tour Legendary Producer & DJ Kenny Dope In India

The Red Bull Music Academy is back in India this month with four time Grammy nominee and one of the most respected names in house music – Kenny ‘Dope’ Gonzalez.
The legendary Brooklyn based producer, DJ and label owner will be travelling to Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore for club nights and info sessions, which will be moderated by core associate and moderator at RBMA – Nick Dwyer (who you may remember from last year’s session with Hyperdub boss Kode9).
Kenny Dope has been active in the electronic music scene for over two decades now, enthralling audiences across the world with his genre-bending mix of house, hip-hop, Latin, jazz, funk & soul, reggae, alternative pop and broken beats. He’s also well known for his collaboration with “Little” Louie Vega - Masters At Work, often labelled as “the most revolutionary house production team of the 90s”. Gonzalez’ also began another project with Vega dubbed ‘Nuyorican Soul’, which in 1993 came out with - ‘The Nervous Track’, generally heralded as the first broken beat record ever released.
Apart from being a DJ and producer, Kenny Dope also holds the title of label owner at Dopewax Records, which has consistently been releasing quality house tracks till today as well as Kay-Dee Records, which focuses on re-recording and releasing rare and classic music.
