SYSTEM MUSIC Boss V.I.V.E.K (UK) Leads The Lineup For ECHO #005

Our favourite no-nonsense bass night ECHO will be back later this month with a particularly exciting international addition to the lineup. Mumbai based booking agency KRUNK will be bringing down UK dubstep icon and SYSTEM MUSIC head honcho V.I.V.E.K for a very special performance at antiSOCIAL on 28 January with Delhi Sultanate (BFR), and subsequent shows in Mumbai (Bonobo) and Bangalore (The Humming Tree).
ECHO is a recurring club night dedicated to pushing soundsytem culture and pure dubstep in the capital. The club night normally features selections by Moniker, Alter State (both of whom will not be playing this time round) and reggae DJ and MC Delhi Sultanate, who will be joining V.I.V.E.K on the decks. You might remember the last edition of the club night, which featured some world class selections from UK Deep Medi prodigy Compa.
London based producer Vivek Sharda has been a prominent figure in UK dubstep since the 90s. Apart from putting out a number of acclaimed releases through Mala’s Deep Medi music before launching his own label SYSTEM MUSIC, named after his famed club night of the same name.
V.I.V.E.K’s brand of dubstep with its vast, pulsating basslines needs to be experienced live to be really understood, as anyone who attended his incredible performance at Magnetic Fields in 2013 would know.
