Listen: 'Liquorice Alley' By Aqua Dominatrix

9 November 2015

Mumbai based Akshay Rajpurohit (part time metal head for Scribe and Pangea, and part time analogue synth-pop/electronic junkie) has just released a new single called ‘Liquorice Alley’.

‘Liquorice Alley’ had already been released a couple of days ago via Superdry KRUNK Live Sessions on Pepsi MTV Indies, which also featured a performance with Your Chin (Raxit Tiwari), who premiered his new tune 'Fighting The Sumo' with some visual help from Oblique (Sourya Sen).

Aqua Dominatrix performed his raw, predictably synth heavy tune encased in a pulsating LED hull provided by one of our favourite visual agencies – Wolves. ‘Liquorice Alley’ might be one our favourite tunes from the beatmaker yet with its raw, unprocessed analogue sound and layered, earwormy sci-fi-esque melodies.

You can watch episode 2 of Superdry KRUNK Live Sessions, hosted by DJ MoCity in its entirety and listen to ‘Liquorice Alley’ below. Follow Akshay Rajpurohit’s electronic avatar Aqua Dominatrix on Facebook and SoundCloud for more. Listen to his exceptional Wild City Mix here and click here for his debut album ‘Sadomist’.

Aqua Dominatrix is also one of the Indian acts performing at Magnetic Fields' RBMA Stage.
