Listen: Debo Releases Debut Single ‘Craving’

Debo is 20 year old Siliguri/Pune based producer Debojyoti Sanyal, who also makes music under his synth-pop alias Dreamhour. He has just released his debut single under the new moniker, called ‘Craving’.

This isn’t Sanyal’s first attempt at producing music. He has already released 2 EPs under his synthpop project to generally favourable reviews. He’s also collaborated with Swedish electronic producer Nightcall for ‘Dead V’.

The producer’s new sounds under ‘Debo’ see him take a mellow, slightly less pop approach towards making music. He layers trip-hop / chillout sounds and despondent melodies over processed, reverberating vocals. The only downside to ‘Craving’ is that (like Dreamhour), those vocals still sound just a tad boy-band for our liking. Still, 'Craving' is certainly a step in the right direction and worth your time.
