Magnetic Fields Festival Announces Dates and Releases Video

27 July 2015

We just couldn’t hold it in any longer…

The Magnetic Fields Festival team has announced that chapter three will take place from 18 to 20 December this year at the Alsisar Mahal in Rajasthan. They’ve also released a recap video of last year’s surreal experience, filmed by Sachin Pillai, embedded below.

The 17th century palace-turned-hotel will once again form the backdrop for the festival’s lovingly curated showcase of music and the arts, unlike anything else in the Indian circuit.

The theme of the festival has always been vital to its experience, and this year is no different. Following their wanderings through parched desert dunes in 2013 and intergalactic sojourn with the stars last year, the Bedouins will now traverse through five elements - earth or prithvi; water or jal ; fire or agni; air or vayu and then ether or akasha. The festival aesthetic will unite the elements to unleash their magic and create an atmosphere of mystery and mysticism.

The theme will extend to all the spaces at the festival including two main stages – North (night) stage and South (day) stage. Magnetic Fields will also feature dawn-breaking pop-up parties, hidden from plain sight but echoing with the sound of music, which will carry on through the weekend. All you need to do is keep you eyes and (more importantly), ears open.

Tickets and accommodation packages will go on sale August 10 onwards on www.magneticfields.in, with special discounts for subscribers and early birds. Lineups and further information will be announced over the coming couple of months, so keep a close eye on their Facebook and Twitter handles.

You can watch the recap video for Magnetic Fields 2014 below, shot by Fabrice Bourgelle, Amit Tida and Sachin Pillai, with music by Weval, who performed at the festival last year.

Magnetic Fields is produced by Wild City, WeThePPL, Undercover Agents, THOT and Alsisar Mahal.
