Applications Open For Dosti Music Project 2016

2 July 2015

Following the success of its 2015 flagship program, the Dosti Music Project has just opened applications for the second edition set to take place between 21 February and 23 March next year.

The initiative aims to bring together musicians from India, Pakistan and the United States and provide a platform for creative collaboration and social engagement through music. Ten selected applicants will have the chance to combine their talents and make original music which they will perform live to new audiences in Southeastern USA. The Dosti Music project will also conduct workshops and street studios for its fellows.

The Dosti team will work with Found Sound Nation (initiators on OneBeat) to record and produce an album of the selected applicant’s work and create a documentary film recording the their experiences.

Last year’s selected applicants included Mumbai’s Sandunes and Karachi based Rudoh a.k.a. Bilal Khan. You can see the full list of fellows by clicking here.

Applications opened yesterday on July 1 and will close on 1 August 5pm EST. Selected applicants will be announced in October.
