Donn Bhat + Passenger Revelator To Perform At Glastonbury Festival

29 May 2015

This is big news. Alternative electronic / rock outfit Donn Bhat + Passenger Revelator will be performing at what is (according to us, at least) the grand daddy of all music festivals - Glastonbury.

Anant Bhatt and his bandmates Suhail Yusuf Khan and drummer Ashwin Andrew will be among the illustrious few Indian acts who will have performed at the decades old festival that has hosted every major musician you can think of. Here’s this year's lineup, just to give you an idea of its scale.

"The response since the release of our second album has been tremendous. We've been touring non stop ever since and have now been selected to play a remote island in the Indian Ocean and the biggest music festival in the world.

Performing at Glastonbury is a far dream for almost every musician there is and it is happening for us in the coming month. We are very excited to take the music to a whole new audience." – Donn Bhat

The Mixtape signees are a formidable outfit and easily one of India’s most charismatic live performers, so it’s heartening to see the act’s talent appreciated internationally. Their sophomore album 'Passenger Revelator' was released in October last year. Donn Bhat + Passenger Revelator will also be performing along with Sky Rabbit at Sakifo Festival on the Reunion Islands as part of the IOMMA conference in June.

Indian acts to have played at Glastonbury in the past include Shaa’ir & Func and The Raghu Dixit Project. Follow Mixtape and Donn bhat + Passenger Revelator on Facebook for updates and check out Glastonbury Festival’s website for more information.
