SxSW To Host Indian Showcase Feat. Sandunes, DJ HVAD & More

18 March 2015

This is big news.

Delhi based artist management agency REProduce has just announced details for the first ever showcase of contemporary electronic music at the SxSW festival that focuses on India and its diaspora.

The SxSW performance will feature Mumbai based garage influenced musician Sandunes, Delhi based downtempo electronic, Hashback Hashish along with rapper and Das Racist member Heems and forward thinking, Copenhagen based alternative electronic producer HVAD, who was recently on tour in India.

South by Southwest (SXSW) Music and Media Conference, now in its 29th year, has built a name for itself as a formidable arena for people from the international musical community to discover and showcase new sounds, talk shop with their contemporaries from other parts of the world, as well as absorb and discuss the future of music in a number of talks, workshops and more. SxSW, which takes place in Austin, Texas, is the perfect opportunity to present our very deserving homegrown talent to a wider audience.

“After REProduce presented the 2014 US debut of Indian electronic music pioneer Charanjit Singh, there were suggestions within the new networks that the tour forged to bring the wider context of this musical pedigree to a broader platform. SXSW seemed the ideal such arena to do so.” REProduce Artists.

The showcase will take place on 20 March at the Iron Bear, More detail and information is available here.
