antiSOCIAL: Delhi's Latest Hub To Host Kode9, My Nu Leng, FKJ And More
10 February 2015
We had announced the launch of Hauz Khas Social’s new space antiSOCIAL, back in November last year. The new, member driven hub sought to become the antithesis of its counterpart, kicking the regular and mundane out and opening up an arena for its fellows to explore creativity beyond their comfort zones.
The last few months have seen some exciting events take place at the new venue, such as the Magnetic Fields pre party, the UnBox festival as well as a couple of film screenings and talks. However, things are properly running and kicking off in a big way only now – the team has an enviable, shiny new sound system all set up for a slew of incredible concert tours, theatre events and comedy shows lined up for the coming months.
Those of you who were present for the Reggae Rajah’s 6th anniversary tour in Delhi, (pictured above) would know that antiSOCIAL is going to deliver some great parties, starting this week.
Red Bull Music Academy will kick things off tomorrow with an info session featuring the iconic Kode9 and Nick Dwyer (more here) that no music enthusiast should miss. Friday the 13th will see antiSOCIAL host bass heavy duo and core members of the hugely successful Black Butter Records – My Nu Leng, who are bringing their massive sounds to the capital for, what we predict, is going to be an unforgettable party. And of course, we can’t forget Paris based electronic artist French Kiwi Juice (more simply known as FKJ) who will be playing at the venue next Thursday on 19 February.
Indian acts like Nucleya, Praveen Achary and Vipul will also perform at the intimate venue as part of Only Much Louder’s new Stage42 property, which also promises to bring in a bunch of comedy acts to get the laughter going.
We’re going to be at antiSOCIAL all of February at this rate, and we hope you’ll be joining us. Follow Social offline on Facebook for more information and keep an eye out on our website for event updates.
